THE CUSTOMISED MACHINES WE HAVE DESIGNED AND DEVELOPED
In recent years, Van Wees Waalwijk has delivered various customised machines to companies in the food industry. We developed robot cells for Mentos and Pally Biscuits to package rolls of sweets and packets of biscuits. Our special machine building for a bakery included a robot that can pick up multiple baking tins of various sizes. The customised machine takes the cakes out of the baking tin and places them on a conveyor belt, all in one smooth motion. Besides this kind of independently operating machines, we also develop mobile cobots that can learn different tasks.

Perfetti van Melle: Mentos Jumbo roll packaging line
Van Wees Waalwijk developed a packaging line for the automated filling of the Mentos rolls in a gift tube box. On the packaging line, the Mentos rolls coming out of the “roll-packaging machine” are picked up at high speed and put into the tubes. After filling the tube, it gets a lid, is printed and checked. After verification, a robot places the tubes in a box, another batch of Mentos rolls is ready to be transported to the consumers.
Pally Biscuits: packaging cell for packets of biscuits
In cooperation with Pally Biscuits in Nieuwegein (NL), machine factory Van Wees Waalwijk developed a packaging cell for the packaging of packets of biscuits in various formats. A robot is used to place the packets of biscuits with high accuracy in the boxes.
ITM group: cigar punch cutter machine
Van Wees Waalwijk developed and built various cigar punch cutter machines for ITM-group. The cigar punch cutter machine creates a circular opening in the cigar at high speed.
